Hello HP community,

   I am trying to connect an external monitor to my HP laptop. 

 

My setup:

SPS-HP USB-C/A Universal Dock W/CABLE G2 docking station connected to HP

EliteBook 840 14 inch G10 Notebook PC

via the USB-C port. An HP E24i G4 monitor is connected to the docking station through it's HDMI port.

 

The laptop recognizes the external keyboard and mouse connected to the docking station, but not the monitor.

 

However, when I connect the monitor directly via the HMDI port, it works.

  

What could be the issue here? Please help out.
