External monitor uses NVidia GPU instead of Integrated GPU

I see that the external monitor connected to the HDMI port uses the Nvidia GPU for rendering. I want to switch it to the Integrated GPU, because using the NVidia GPU causes to fans to speed every now and then which is kind of irritating.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, 

Depending on the model, HP computers with switchable graphics will operate in one of two modes: Dynamic Mode or Fixed Mode. Earlier models supported Fixed Mode while later models support Dynamic Mode. Using the Fixed Mode drivers on a computer that supports Dynamic Mode will not work. Using Dynamic Mode drivers on a computer that supports Fixed Mode switchable graphics will not work. For the best performance in all configurations, keep your graphics drivers and software updated. See Obtaining Software and Drivers for more information.

To change the default switchable graphics settings in the Catalyst Control Center software, follow the steps below.

1. Click Start, type CCC in the Search field, and then select and open CCC from the search results list.

2. Click the Start logo in the lower-left corner.

   On the Catalyst Control Center screen, click Power.

3. Then click Switchable Graphic Application Settings.

4. Select a Recent Application and click Not Assigned (unless this has been altered before). Then choose either High performance, Power saving, or Based on power source.

   NOTE: To add an application not shown in the Recent Applications list, click Add Application.

5. Click Apply to save the new settings.The changes take place immediately.

Hi, my system has a NVidia graphics card so I do not have the AMD Catalyst Control Center. Is there a similar thing available for NVidia GPUs. I already have the NVidia control panel but I could not find any Switchable graphics settings inside it.

Thank you for posting back. 

You will be able to find all the control settings in NVIDIA control panel itself if you are not able to find then you can check with NVIDIA website for new drivers.
