Product: HP Pavilion 15-cc1xx
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have Windows 10 installed on my HP laptop and all of the function keys respond as expected except the F2 and F3 function keys which control brightness.

 

I have tried all combination of things to try to be able to change the brightness to no avail.

 

Suggestions?

Hi, Rob:

 

If the chipset and graphics drivers are installed, the only suggestion I can offer would be to install the HP System Event Utility.

 

This package contains the HP System Event Utility, which enables special function keys on supported notebook models to be programmed. For example, HP System Event Utility enables users to press the Fn+ESC keys to view system information. This package is provided for the supported computer models running a supported operating system.
