Hello, I have already tried contacting over this issue and the same thing was just repeated.
Essentially I was told I had not selecting fingerprint sensor as an option during purchase, which is fully a lie and not at all possible from how I see it since said item exist physically below the enter key on my numpad.
It simply is non-functional, for zero apparent reason at all.
I have no idea for the cause, and I have tried everything available to me up to this point to try getting it to work again, which it refuses to do.
I am at a complete loss here, I only every got to use it one time which was only for about a single day before it abruptly went and vanished. I have tried everything.

Welcome to the HP English Community --

There is always a reason when something does not work.

For example,

  • Missing or inoperable (broken) hardware
  • Missing configuration in BIOS
  • Missing or corrupted Windows Updates
  • Missing or corrupted fingerprint driver

Having been told the fingerprint reader is a purchased option is true.

Reminder:  If the system does not include the fingerprint sensor hardware, there might be a same-color "cover plate" box where the reader would be located.

If your computer is aware of an installed fingerprint reader sensor, you might have been told how to check for the Device Manager for category Biometric devices.

In general if the Device Manager does not detect the fingerprint reader, as far as the system is concerned, the sensor does not exist.

If the fingerprint reader does exist in the Device Manager, then it is possible that (re)installing the fingerprint driver might help.   Reference:  ELAN Fingerprint Sensor Driver

What else?

Much depends on the condition of your Windows environment --

Should the fingerprint reader work "once" but never again, check that Windows Updates are current and installed.

Although Windows 11 is indeed slightly different from Windows 10, the following troubleshooting document does include several key checkpoints and is worth a look:

HP Notebook PCs - Fingerprint reader troubleshooting (Windows 10)

Depending on the model, the fingerprint sensor might be integrated into the top cover / keyboard area.

Check your system’s user manual.

Reminder:  If the system does not include the fingerprint sensor hardware, there might be a same-color "cover plate" box where the reader would be located.

If your system does not detect the fingerprint sensor and the option is available for your model series, the sensor can be purchased and installed. Check your computer’s maintenance and service guide for the part number(s) and the procedure.

What else?

If you have been working in the BIOS, recheck that you have not inadvertently shut off or otherwise mishandled the settings in the BIOS > Advanced section for the fingerprint sensor.

If all else fails, you do have the option to replace the fingerprint hardware --

The part number and procedure are included in your  Maintenance and Service Guide

Sorry for late responses, I am aware that it is not a cover and is the actual sensor as it has been functional in the past.

I think what it is, is I disabled it via BIOS, but the option to enable/disable it has long since vanished.
I have done everything I am capable of and can not find it or get it functional again.
