HP ENVY NOTEBOOK PC
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I'm current on all updates as far as I know but my touchscreen keeps flickering or blinking in and out whenever I'm on the internet.  It doesn't seem to do it when I have any other windows for other programs open or when it's just the home screen.  It only happens intermittently when I'm using the internet browsers.  I've seen it on Chrome, Firefox and Edge so it's not limited to just one or two of them.  It's a really quick blink/flicker, as if I'm blinking my eyes.

No idea what else to try and it's annoying.  Did anyone with this issue find a solution?

Welcome to HP support community.

Update the Bios and Graphics card driver using HP Support Assistant.

Download and run the HP Support Assistant from this Link: Click here

HPSA will automatically search for all the latest drivers for your Notebook

  1. Click My devices in the top menu, and then click Updates in the My PC or My notebook pane.

Click Updates in the My notebook pane

  2. Click Check for updates and messages to scan for new updates.

Updates list in HP Support Center

  3. Review the list of updates. Updates with a yellow information icon are recommended. Updates with a blue information icon are optional.

  4. Click the update name for a description, version number, and file size.

  5. Select the box next to any updates you want to install, and then click Download and install.

Also ensure Windows is up to date.

Select the Start  button, and then go to Settings  > Update & security  > Windows Update , and select Check for updates. If Windows Update says your device is up to date, you have all the updates that are currently available

Let me know how it goes.

To thank me for my efforts to help you, please mark my post as an accepted solution so that it benefits several others.

Hi Sandy.  I did use my HP Support Assistant first before going to the forum.  I've checked for updates several times and no new ones showed up.  This is why I went to the forum for help.

And after I posted my original question I noticed that the screen flickered when I was using a program, not just the internet.

Boot the computer to BIOS and check if the issue persists:

  1. Turn on or restart the computer.
  2. While the display is blank, press the f10 key to enter the BIOS settings menu.

Cheers.
