Product: HP Elitebook 850 G2
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I am not able to adjust the brightness using the function keys on my laptop. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the display drivers with no luck.

Hi:

 

If you now have the correct display adapter driver installed (Intel only or Intel/ AMD), and you don't see a Microsoft Basic Display adapter listed under the display adapters device manager category, see if reinstalling the Hotkey software gets the brightness Fn keys to work again.
