I downloaded GTA IV from fitgirl repack and installed some light and reflection mods. I created a duplicate game folder and installed the mods in it. I deleted it but then onwards my GTA IV isn't showing any of the textures. There are only lights and sounds, every other things went missing. I thought it was the problem with my graphics card but, have to note one thing that there's no problem with my other games like watch dogs, farcry etc. If someone knows how to solve this, pls msg asap. I tried to contact HP and can't get in touch with you guys. So, pls recommend a solution to this problem in a detailed manner.

Thank you.

Hi @_Marco_,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thank you for reaching out, and I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing issues with GTA IV on your HP 15s Notebook.

Based on your description, the problem seems to be isolated to the game, since other games like Watch Dogs and Far Cry are working fine. This indicates that your HP system and graphics hardware are functioning correctly.

To ensure your HP notebook is running optimally, please try the following basic steps:

Update Graphics Drivers:

Go to HP Support > Enter your product name/model > Download the latest graphics driver for your notebook.

Alternatively, update via Device Manager > Display Adapters > Right-click your GPU > Update driver.

BIOS and Windows Updates:

Ensure your system BIOS and Windows updates are current. HP Support Assistant can help manage this.

Run HP Hardware Diagnostics:

Restart your PC > Tap Esc repeatedly > Select F2 > Choose System Tests > Run a Component Test on the graphics.

If your hardware passes all diagnostics and your other games are unaffected, the issue is not hardware-related.

Since the issue started after modding GTA IV, it’s likely that:

The game files were corrupted.

Or residual mod files/settings are causing the texture loading problem.

We recommend reaching out to the game's developers or community support for assistance with mod conflicts or game repair. You can also:

Verify game integrity via the repack source.

Reinstall the game cleanly without any mods.

I hope this helps.

I'm glad I could help! 😊 If this resolved your issue, please mark it as "Accepted Solution" and click "Yes" on "Was this reply helpful?" Your feedback not only keeps us going but also helps others find the solution faster! 👍
