Pavilion all in one
It makes a series of 3 beeps then 4 beeps and then pops up that there is an unsupported adapter installed and shuts back down will not go to the startup menu.

Unbelievable

Must be a design fault

We had the exact same issue this morning...

Found a fix:
Unplug the power cord from the monitor, wait a few minutes and plug it back in.

What the problem is, I have no idea but it was very frusterating. Hope that works for all cases

Worked for me, thanks.

Just wanted to chime in...  I purchased a Pavillion all in one as well in the December timeframe and just had the same issue describe exactly in the opening thread - same number of beeps, message and shutdown.    Thankfully the unplug / hard shut down did work but does anyone have a reasoning at all?

thanks for input -

Thanks for your suggestion it worked.
I just went through same problem. Purchased HP Pavilion All in one during the holidays I certainly wasn't expecting that it would act up this soon especially since I seldom use computer.

Thank you. I have had my All in One for over a year. When I was restarting, this happened for the first time ever. Unplugging for one minute and manually restarting solved the annoying problem.

Thank you so much - resolved this time

Thanks for the thread. I had the exact same issue 10 days after the extended warranty ran out. Thought I was hosed for sure. Unplugging it for a few minutes got it back to the boot screen. Wish we had a real hardware answer from HP.

This exact problem happened to me when I tried to reboot after a power outage.  The 1 minute+  disconnect seems to be crucial.  I disconnected for 10sec but didn't help. Seems to be coming up now. Thank God I could browse on my smartphone to find this solution here.
