My laptop stylus is so wack I gave up since I got it planning to buy a new one got any reccomendations? I have the hp x360 laptop and sadly the stylus would not connect at all

I understand you're having trouble with the stylus on your HP x360 laptop, and it won’t connect. That can be frustrating, especially when you expect smooth inking or drawing experience. Let’s get you sorted out with some recommendations and clarity on stylus compatibility.

HP makes several x360 variants (e.g., Pavilion x360, Envy x360, Spectre x360). Stylus compatibility can vary significantly between them.

 

Before replacing your stylus, you might want to try these steps to see if it can be revived:

If your stylus is supposed to connect but doesn’t:

  • Ensure Bluetooth is enabled (if applicable).
  • Go to Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices, and try pairing it.
  • Update your graphics and touch drivers from HP Support Assistant or HP Drivers page.

Also,

  • Go to Device Manager > Human Interface Devices.
  • Right-click on HID-compliant touch screen and select Update driver.

Battery Check: If your stylus uses a battery, try replacing it.

Touchscreen Test: Use HP’s built-in diagnostics:

  • Restart your laptop and press Esc repeatedly.
  • Select F2 for diagnostics > Component Tests > Touch Screen.

 Depending on compatibility, here are trusted styluses that work great with MPP-supported HP x360 models:

  • HP MPP 2.0 Tilt Pen 
  • Microsoft Surface Pen 
  • Renaisser Raphael 520
