HP Pavilion Notebook - 15-ab143cl (ENERGY STAR)
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have the A10 extreme edition with Radeon R8 M365DX and Radeon (TM) R7 graphics. These are the correct graphics for my latoptop. When I try to update my drivers, windows changes my R8 to R7 M360, and my Radeon (TM) R7 graphics to Radeon R7 (No TM), then the drivers fail. I have tried to update with AMD detect tool, it changes my graphics to R7 M360 and fail again.  It also tells me I don't have any AMD software installed (even though it just installed software and drivers). The only, I mean absolutely ONLY, drivers that work are the super outdated drivers, 2015 and 2016, that I get from the HP drivers and software website.  I am very annoyed. I play games, but here lately my FPS drop so low... it is not fun. I know I don't have the greatest laptop for gaming (now) but until recently at least I could play. I know I am not alone on this, but most of what i have seen, it has been in reverse (they have R7 M360 and update turns them into R8 M365DX).I don't care what the stupid name is... I would like drivers that are not older than my underwear and actually work!

So since no one answered my post but people are having the same issue.... I will share what happened this afternoon. I happened upon a thread on AMD website. Same issue, same hardware.  Don't know how I never came across it before. Been digging through google for years trying to find the solution. The gentleman told him he had to open his bios and enable legacy bios. Worth a shot.  I was desperate enough to try it. Took 2 minutes total and BAM drivers actually updated. Correct driver name and ALL! Hopefully this will help someone who is struggling like me. Easy peasy lemon squeezy. 🙂
