Hi, I purchased a H.P. laptop.
Drivers kept saying" out of date, so I purchased P.C.helpsoft, my mistake. After 5 months, they eventually sent me a key to use.
When entered, comp went crazy, went to BSoD and required bitlocker key?
I signed into M.S. and it says no bitlocker key uploaded, so I'm stuffed there.
Managed to get to cmmd prompt, but if ores all input as it says it cannot do so with RAW files? I have spent 3 days Trying everything. I came to realise I will lose my files, so be it. I just want my computer, even fact settings as it took two yrs to save up for this one. Any help very much appreciated.. Ray Lewis.

Hi @rlew303,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I'm sorry to hear about the issues you're facing with your HP laptop. It sounds like a challenging situation, but I'll try to provide some general guidance to help you troubleshoot.
Check for System Restore Points:
- Boot your computer in Safe Mode (if possible).
- Try to access the System Restore feature to roll back your system to a previous state before the driver update.
- This might help resolve issues caused by the driver update.
Perform a System Restore:
- If you have a system restore point, use it to restore your computer to a state where it was functioning correctly.
- You can do this from the Advanced Startup Options menu.
Windows Recovery Environment:
- Boot into Windows Recovery Environment using a Windows installation USB or DVD.
- Navigate to Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Startup Repair.
- This may automatically fix startup issues.
Reinstall Windows:
- If all else fails, you might need to consider reinstalling Windows.
- Backup your important files using an external drive or by connecting your hard drive to another computer.
BitLocker Key Recovery:
- If your system is asking for a BitLocker key, check your Microsoft account online for the key.
- If it's not there, you might need to contact Microsoft support for assistance.
Check for Hardware Issues:
- If the issue persists, there might be underlying hardware problems. In this case, contacting HP support or taking your laptop to an authorized service center would be advisable.
Remember, it's crucial to back up your important files before attempting any major changes to your system.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
