HMDI/DisplayPort adapters for HP Spectre x360 13-w0XX

I would like to purchase a HP Spectre x360 13-w0XX (Kaby Lake). However, I need to connect HDMI and DisplayPort monitors and projectors (one at the time).

The situation surrounding USB-C is highly confusing at the moment (compatebility seems to be a bit hit-and-miss).

So I am looking for (HP certified preferably) USB-C/Thunderbolt-3 adapters that will work with this machine.

Any suggestions?

Also, are there any docking solutions for this machine?

I have tried HP support here in Norway with no luck (could not answer this).

I see that HP has some USB-C (ThunderBolt-3 ??) HDMI/DisplayPort adapeters on their web site, but is unclear if they actually will work with this machine.

Additional question: does the USB-C ports in this machine support USB-C Alternate Mode DisplayPort in addition to DisplayPort over Thunderbolt-3?

I have checked the specification and yes we do have USB type C to display port adapter and it should work on your laptop.

Thanks for the feedback! Yes, this one may work!

However, as far as can see in the linked documentation it only supports 30Hz refresh ("Supported Resolutions 4K x 2K @ 30Hz"), while standard DisplayPort should support 4K x 2K @ 60Hz?

Also, it does not seem to be available at http://store.hp.com?

I have now found this: "HP USB-C to Display Port Adapter" (N9K78UT):

(somewhat cheaper). Will this work with the Spectre x360 13-w0XX?

The HP USB-C to HDMI Adapter N9K78UT is supported on your PC.

Also, I tried to check if any docking stations are available for your PC.

Unfortunately, there is no docking station available for X360 laptop.

Please check this website to buy the port replicator.

I'm currently using a USB-C Multiport Adapter from Cable Matters (Amazon link) with my HP Spectre x360 13-w000. It's working fine and I'm not having any issues with it yet.

I have looked further for possible HP docking solutions. I may be possible that one (or both) of these two may work (again, it seems to be difficult/impossible to get find info on compatibility)?

I tried the HP THUNDERBOLT DOCK 120W G2 and the HP USB-C Dock and after about a week the DisplayPort adapters all fail to connect with my 2018 HP Spectre x360 13 inch. I bought 2 other generic USB C to Displayport hubs on Amazon and same issue. I can use HDMI however i only get 1080P resolution on my LG 4k screen  and only 30hz instead of 60hz.. had i known that I would not have bought the laptop. Next time I will get another brand.
