Hi, I'm looking for help regarding my HP Laptop model 14-dq2031tg, I recently powered the laptop on and the backlight does not appear to be working on the LCD display. If I look very carefully in right light I can just barely make out some of the text on the display. I've tried changing the brightness and it doesn't have any affect. If I plug in an external monitor I can see that the laptop is working fine, just that the internal display that is not working.
I purchased the laptop the end of November 2021 as a Christmas gift for my daughter, HP's web site says the warranty expired the end of May of this year. I've disputed this and provided my invoice from Target.com and my case was closed today with no resolution. I just disputed this again with hopes I will actually get someone to look into it and correct the expiration date for the warranty.
Any idea what I can do in the meantime to resolve this? Not at all happy with HP support at the moment. 😞
Thanks,
Dave
