Microsoft Windows 11

I just got the mini docking station HP USB-C HSA-Q001PR, but it does not display the monitors  in any plug HDMI or VGA. but if I plug an USB it reads fine because I can see it into my laptop, I checked the cables all good, however  the another 2 monitors are not showing, I downloaded the driver for the docking from https://support.hp.com/lamerica_nsc_cnt_amer-es/drivers/hp-usb-c-universal-dock-non-flash/19530739 and still with any image into any of the additional monitors,

Please advise

Hi @Aris1001

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

Thanks for explaining everything so clearly—it’s genuinely frustrating when the docking station works for USB but refuses to play nice with your monitors.

Let’s break this down and get you some clarity. 🧩🖥

🔍 Why Your Monitors Aren’t Displaying

The USB-C port on your HP 15.6 inch Laptop PC 15-e2000 (2J4V9AV) is data-transfer only. That means it does not support video output (DisplayPort Alt Mode) or Power Delivery, which are required for HDMI/VGA passthrough via a docking station.

So while USB devices (like flash drives) work fine, video ports on the dock won’t function because the laptop’s USB-C port isn’t wired for video.

What You Can Do Instead

You still have options to connect external monitors:

🧰 Option 1: Use a USB-A to HDMI Adapter

🧰 Option 2: Try a Universal Docking Station with DisplayLink

  • Look for docks that connect via USB-A and support DisplayLink drivers.
  • These docks can drive multiple monitors even without native video support.

Take care, and have an amazing day!
