bought this laptop to mainly use as a desktop replacement and thinking about buying a USB-C hub that has HDMI and other USB ports....is this laptop able to send video to external display via the type-c port?
also, didn’t realize until after purchase, that this laptop doesn’t have an ethernet port....anyone know if the ethernet port on a usb-c hub would work?
this is the hub i’m considering:

Its specs
https://support.hp.com/hk-en/document/c06447661
It only has
1 HDMI 1.4b;
1 headphone/microphone combo;
1 USB 3.1 Type-C™ Gen 1 (Data Transfer up to 5 Gb/s);
2 USB 3.1 Gen 1 (Data transfer only);
1 AC smart pin
As you can see USB-C port does nt support video out directly, only HDMI port. Please try following HP docks:

Thanks for the response...if I understand correctly the usb-c port doesn’t provide video output directly, but are you also saying one of those docking stations would be able to send video to an external monitor?....if so, is there a specific model you would recommend ?....does it connect to laptop via the usb-c port?
