Pavilion 15-eg0055nr
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I want to have a 'one connection' between my HP 15-eg0055nr laptop (Running Windows 10 Home) and desk peripherals.

I have a Lenovo 40AS USB-C Dock Gen2 connected to ASUS VG275Q monitor (using display port), Logitech Keyboard/mouse, and Jabra Headset.

My laptop does not recognize the external monitor, but does recognize the other peripherals connected to the dock.  The product specs show the HP SuperSpeed port supports DP1.4.  I have attempted to install multiple drivers (mostly USB-C) to no avail.  Same setup works fine with my work issued ThinkPad.  Suggestions?

Its specs

It has 1 SuperSpeed USB Type-C® 10Gbps signaling rate (USB Power Delivery, DisplayPort™ 1.4, HP Sleep and Charge) port  and uses  45 W Smart AC power adapter.

Not all USB-C ports are the same. I don't know other vendors docks. The best option for you is to use HP USB-C Gen 5 dock. You can setup single cable environment.

Regards.
