15s-eq2030nl
Microsoft Windows 11

The viewing angle of the display is very bad.
I can't find a good angle to see decent colors.
With only a tilt of 10° the colors go to quickly to white.
The black became white!
I have seen online reviews of other 15s-eq2xxx models and it seems that the problem is not present.
I think that the panel installed of mine is different and very bad.
I bought my notebook online 2 days ago.
HP, please solve my problem !

Hi@AntonioDB,

Thank you for responding, I appreciate your time and effort.

IPS panels are characterized as having the best color and viewing angles among the other main types of display panels. You can get the 15.6" IPS FHD 1080P Laptop LED LCD Screen/Panel and is Compatible with HP 15 Laptop.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

It seems that LCD installed is not an IPS, but a bad TN panel.
Can someone tell me which panel HP has installed into the notebook I have bought?

Can an HP expert reply?
Thanks

Thanks for the reply.
The Maintenance and Service guide you have linked is of the old model 15s-eq0xxx, mine is a 15s-eq2xxx.
The 15s-eq0xxx processor family is AMD Ryzen x-3xxx, mine is a Ryzen x-5xxx.
In the guide is not present any FHD, Antiglare, IPS display that is instead installed on many 15s-eq2xxx model as, for example, the 15s-eq2004sl (https://support.hp.com/ee-en/document/c07696887) .
The Display in the guide is a 220 nits instead of 250 nits declare for the 15s-eq2xxx model.

Please send me the Maintenance and Service guide of the 15s-eq2xxx.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for you reply.

As in the specifications this panel is not an IPS, and it have very poor bad viewing angles.
I will replace the panel with an IPS one.
Can you tell me the part number of an IPS panel that is good for my notebook model?

As we have limited support boundaries in the support community as of now. I would request you to contact our HP Support Engineers and should be able to give the details about the IPS panel. Hence I encourage you to contact HP support for warranty service options.

I have already contacted HP Support.
They did not add something more of what I can find in the online documentation.
