HP ProBook
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I just bought the HP 27ec monitor to hook up to my HP ProBook laptop.  I have downloaded the driver and I am unable to get the monitor to recognize my computer.  I tried going into the OCD to the Input Control menu to select the port, and the Save & Return option is grayed out, so i'm unable to save my choice.  I've tried a factory reset on the monitor, and that still doesn't help me. When I first turn on the monitor it shows the monitor status box and it says HDMI1: Inactive, HDMI2: Inactive, VGA: Inactive, Auto-Switch Input: On. I know the computer is capable of displaying on a monitor, as it works just fine every day in the office.  Any thoughts on what is happening here?

How do you connect it in your office ? As it says Auto-Switch Input: On, you don't need to change anything, just connect it to your computer and it should turn up automatically.

Can you reset it to Factory settings ? It has 1 VGA; 2 HDMI 2.0 (with HDCP support) that means any HDMI port will work.  Does your computer have HDMI port ?

Regards,

BH
