Hi @Moun3

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

Thanks for reaching out—when your HP camera isn’t working with Google Meet, it can feel like you're left in the dark. Let’s walk through a few clear, sensory-rich steps to help your HP 5MP camera come back to life in Google Meet on Windows 11.

1. Check Camera Permissions in Windows

  • Press Windows + I to open Settings.
  • Go to Privacy & security > Camera.
  • Make sure Camera access and Let apps access your camera are both turned ON.
  • Scroll down and ensure Desktop apps (like browsers) also have access.

2. Test the Camera in the Camera App

  • Press Windows + S, type Camera, and open the Camera app.
  • If the camera works here, it confirms the hardware is fine.

If it doesn’t open or shows an error, let me know—we’ll troubleshoot the driver.

3. Allow Camera Access in Your Browser

If you're using Chrome or Edge:

  • Open https://meet.google.com.
  • Click the lock icon in the address bar.
  • Ensure Camera is set to Allow.
  • Refresh the page and try joining a meeting again.

4. Select the Correct Camera in Google Meet

  • In a Google Meet call, click the three dots (More) > Settings > Video.
  • Under Camera, select HP 5MP Camera or similar.
  • If it’s not listed, continue to the next step.

5. Update or Reinstall the Camera Driver

  • Press Windows + X, choose Device Manager.
  • Expand Cameras or Imaging Devices.
  • Right-click your HP camera > Update driver > Search automatically.
  • If that doesn’t help:
    • Right-click > Uninstall device.
    • Restart your PC—Windows should reinstall it automatically.

6. Check HP Support for Camera Software

Some HP models include a camera privacy app or driver utility.

  • Visit: HP Software & Driver Downloads
  • Enter your laptop model (e.g., HP ENVY x360 15-fe0006nt).
  • Look under Driver – Camera or Software – Multimedia.
  • Download and install any available camera drivers or utilities.

Let me know your exact laptop model if you’d like help locating the correct driver page. Once these steps are complete, your camera should feel responsive and ready to light up your next Google Meet.
