I am having difficulty with my HP Active Pen, model: ME-MPP303. Until today it has been working perfectly, however it has stopped working ONLY when my laptop is converted into tablet mode (folded completely with the keyboard flat on the table and the screen facing the ceiling) and I write with my palm touching the screen. I have done extensive troubleshooting already, which includes:
1. I made sure that "Ignore touch input when I'm using my pen" under "Pen & Windows Ink" settings is ON.
2. Changing the battery of my pen.
3. Restarting my laptop.
4. Ensuring that none of the keys are being pressed when it is folded back.
5. Testing the pen in different laptop "modes", i.e. laptop vs. tablet. When my laptop is in "laptop mode" (with the keyboard parallel to my desk and the screen perpendicular like a standard laptop) the pen works perfectly fine even when my palm is touching the surface. However, when my laptop is in "tablet" mode, with the keys on the table and the screen facing the ceiling, the pen works only when my palm is NOT touching the screen. When my palm IS touching the screen when I write, the pen does not work. Note: "Ignore touch input when I'm using my pen" is ON during that entire process.
6. I tried updating/installing touch screen/pen drivers but I could not find any for my laptop model.
I CAN still write on my screen and use the pen in every situation when my palm is not touching the screen, as well as when the entire laptop is held at different angles when folded in tablet mode. I know this is a very complicated and specific problem, but any help you may be able to provide would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

@Brendarw I suggest you ensure this is the stylus/Pen you've got, the part number of the only device supported by your laptop: 920241-001, if this is what you've got, I suggest you check with an alternate pen of the same model to identify if that works fine on tablet mode.
Also, if it had been working earlier, I suggest you attempt a system restore to check if that helps: click here for steps,
