After upgrading the firmware of my HP Dock G5 (USB-C), the monitor connected via HDMI to the dock periodically switches off for a second and then on. It worked well before the upgrade. When the monitor is connected directly to the laptop, all works fine. Any suggestion? My colleague in the office has got exactly same problem too.
Update: The same problem happens when I connect the Dock to my phone. It used to work well before the firmware update.

I found on HP USB-C Dock G5 Software and Driver Details in "Revision History", there are older firmwares to download. So I tried previous versions of the firmware and found that the last version where the HDMI output works well is 1.0.16.0 (Oct 27, 2022). With any newer HDMI monitor blinks unexpectedly.

Thank you for the update! I'm glad you were able to find a solution by rolling back to firmware version 1.0.16.0. It’s great to know that this resolves the HDMI issue.
Also, just a suggestion: marking your post as the accepted solution will help others who face the same problem find the answer quickly.
Is there anything else I can help you with? Feel free to reach out!
