I have HP ENVY 15-j011dx, there is no option available to make resolution higher then 1366 X 768, i am a developer and need high resolution for coding and design.

Previously I was working on DELL Inspiron 1420 with windows vista OS and that support highter resolution.

please suggest as this is mandatory for my work.

Thanks in Adv.

Hi,

There is another option: replace current screen with other screen which has higher resolution (if there is one on the market). Please check page #57 of document #3 on the following list:

Hi,

The following link shows specs of your computer:

   http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03994341

Its NATIVE resolution is 1366 x 768. A number of dots is a number of dots sincs it uses LED backlight. If you wish, you can connect to an external full HD monitor and you will get 1920 x 1080 from there.

Hi I also have this model.  From your respnse, are you saying all I have to do is get the FHD display part number for my J011DX and it should work?  Of course I will have to upgrade the drivers right? This is all very informative.  To date I have upgraded my HD to SSD.  I will be changing the case out in a couple of weeks and replacing the fan and am now exploring upgrading the processor and getting an msata drive.  A FHD screen will ensure that my model lasts  me another 6 years
