HP ENVY x360 Laptop - 15m-ee0013dx
Microsoft Windows 11

The Touchscreen on my HP Envy 2-in-1 Convertible STOPPED WORKING after a recent update.  Update history shows it was most likely 23H2.  Running diagnostics shows the device is working (It tests correctly) but touchscreen does not function under a normal boot process.  I have deleted the device and rebooted to reinstall the device driver.  There is no improvement.  I looked into a rollback to a previous set of drivers.  None available.  I have tried the "touchscreen calibration" in the control panel -- again, no improvement.  The touchscreen, although enabled in device manager in the HID-compliant-touchscreen, does not function.  I have tried placing it in "tablet mode" by folding back the lid, which should have enabled the touchscreen.  No help.
So, the device is present and functional according to system diagnostics.  The device manager reports that the "best" driver is installed and enabled.  Yet, the touchscreen is non-functional.  I am beginning to wonder if Microsoft forgot to link in the touchscreen functionality, or if the update program misidentified the device as not having a touchscreen.  It does not seem that the driver is the problem, but the operating system itself and the OS components.
Now, I can't believe that I am the only person experiencing this issue.  In the past, when I have had an issue, at least 4-5 other HP Envy 360 15m-ee0013dx users have had the same issue and we all found a solution.  I do have a feeling that the fix on this is more complex that installing a driver.  Has anyone found a solution to this non-functional Touchscreen problem?
