HP ENVY x360 Convertible Laptop PC 13m-bd1000 (460Q3AV)

Purchased this laptop in June of 2021 and now, September 1st of 2023 the hinge decides to break. Anyone else have any similar issues with the HP Envy? Apparently this is a known issue for HP hinges and there was (possibly still is?) a class action lawsuit about this known issue. I'm trying to get info on a warranty claim and i cant speak well due to a cancer surgery and cannot call the hotline/tech support but I'm having trouble getting in touch with anyone via email or chat. Anyone else have success with email or chat? Also anyone else have this issue fixed by HP or a third party? Looking at my options and the Best Buy Geek Squad said it would be an $85 up front charge, they would ship it out to be fixed in 3-4 weeks and would probably cost more depending on parts and could not even give me a ballpark figure until I sign it over to them... Anyone else dealt with the broken hinge mess?

Welcome to the HP support community.

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).

If you are unfamiliar with how the Community's private message capability works, you can learn about that here.

Thank you for visiting the HP Support Community.
