HP ENVY TouchSmart Ultrabook 4 Product C6N88UA#ABA
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

I got a new upgrade to windows 10 recently since I was not using this laptop for a while. I used to have windows 10 installed without issues but with the last upgrade many things changed. The touchscreen is not longer working and the HID drivers for the touchscreen disappear, totally vanished. I tried the solutions through your web site and checking these blogs without any solution for my case. I tried to find also the drivers on the Microsoft update catalog without success.

The touchscreen used to work with no issues up to this recent new windows 10 upgrade that added Cortana, asking for password, etc.

Do you have a place where I can download the HID touchscreen drivers for my laptop?

Note: On the HP website there isn't touchscreen drivers for windows 10 for my model.

Thanks

Welcome to HP Community

I have gone through your Post and would like to help

I suggest you download and run the HP Support Assistant from this Link: https://www8.hp.com/us/en/campaigns/hpsupportassistant/hpsupport.html?jumpid=va_r602_us/en/any/psg/p...

HPSA will automatically search for all the latest drivers for your Notebook

  1. Click My devices in the top menu, and then click Updates in the My PC or My notebook pane.

Click Updates in the My notebook pane

  2. Click Check for updates and messages to scan for new updates.

Updates list in HP Support Center

  3. Review the list of updates. Updates with a yellow information icon are recommended. Updates with a blue information icon are optional.

  4. Click the update name for a description, version number, and file size.

  5. Select the box next to any updates you want to install, and then click Download and install.

Also ensure Windows is up to date.

Select the Start  button, and then go to Settings  > Update & security  > Windows Update , and select Check for updates. If Windows Update says your device is up to date, you have all the updates that are currently available

Keep me posted how it goes

Thank you and have a wonderful day 😊

Hi,

I already did and the HP site doesn't offer me any driver for HID neither touchscreen.

Do you know how to get the HID drivers for the touchscreen?

I tried to roll back the windows 10 installation to see if I can get the drivers but was a waste of time.

Thanks for your help

Please try a System Restore to an earlier time before the issue started and let me know how it goes

Hi,

I have nothing to recover since I was back and forward with the installation trying to recover the HID drivers and it looks like are vanished or wipe out by Microsoft.

I guess that the only solution is get the drivers from HP and restore them. Could you help me?

Thanks

Did you perform the System Recovery back to Factory Settings already?

No. It is going to take me days and I'm going to lose all my software installations and some of them, like adobe suite, I don't have the originals with me to install it again. You understand that your solution is going to put the laptop in windows 8 native and then HP will install windows 10 automatically, just to see the very same issue of HID drivers vanishing.

This is not a solution for me. I don't understand why nobody has the HID drivers for windows 10.

By chance, do you know who is the manufacturer of the touchscreen?

Thanks

Unfortunately this is the only option right  now. Else you might have to wait for Microsoft to send an updated driver because as of now there is no particular driver
