Hey everyone,

2 months ago I bought a HP envy x360 13 laptop without HDMI port, so I ordered with it a USB-C hub. I use my laptop for teaching and it is important that I can share my screen when I want. The USB-C hub works, but sometimes it doesnt... It bleeps a few times, I see it is connected but the screen is not shown on the second monitor. When I disconnect it a few times and reconnect it, the hub usually works. This is terribly annoying and consumes time when I want to start up my lessons. Also I borrowed a USB-hub from a friend for a few days from a completely different brand, and it worked fantastic. No errors, so it has to be the hub.

Lastly the hub did not work a few days ago when I wanted to share my screen on my ultrawide 3440x1440 monitor. I grabbed my old laptop with a HDMI port and that did the job. Is there something wrong with the compatibility of the hub, maybe a driver I need to download or is it just broken?

Request you to follow the below troubleshooting steps that should fix the issue.

 

Also, Uninstall the graphics driver from the device manager and install the latest drivers and BIOS from the links below.

 

Link to update the BIOS.

 

Also, update the graphics driver using this link.

 

You can try updating the drivers on your PC using an HP support assistant.
