Hello,

 

I'm having issues with my laptop, the screen brightness is not working.

 

I have updated, uninstalled and re-installed the display drivers and Generic PnP Monitor and the problem still persist.

 

Note: I'm running a Windows 10 Pro 64 bit.

You can download and install the HP System Event Utility to solve this problem.

Updating my windows solved the problem, however I downloaded the HP System Event Utility too.

 

Update: The windows 10 caused  DMA DRIVER VERIFIER VIOLATION error, so I re-installed from my system image.

Then installed the HP System Event Utility and restarted and it didn't work.
