Hello there,

 

Recently the left hinge broke from the screen which then broke the screen in that corner.

The laptop is still under its warranty to.

im not really sure how to go from here, since the laptop was always open (standing on a laptop stand) and maybe closed the lid like 5 times (cleaning desk or so) it blows my mind it just snapped... since the laptop was on a stand its in a "new condition"

I understand that this is a Hardware issue. Since the unit might need repair, I would request you to contact HP Phone support who can schedule a repair as per the warranty and the issue can be fixed.

 

For that to happen, we will give you additional instructions/information via Private Message.

HP was actually very helpful! They replaced hinges + screen all under warranty.

 

sadly the HP Technician forgot to install the webcamera in the screen 🙃
