Thank you for responding,
It's great to have you back 😉
Here's the BIOS update from the website, however, I see that you've already done it on this post.
Type: BIOS
Version: F.51 Rev.A
Operating systems: Windows 10 (64-bit)
Release date: Nov 21, 2017
File name: Click here to download (35.7 MB)
And I'm afraid there is no touchscreen firmware available for this device, that said, please check if the Touchscreen works on BIOS to confirm whether this is either a software or a hardware issue and if it doesn't work on the BIOS (Access by tapping on F10 during a restart) it would be confirmed to be a hardware issue.
And if its a hardware issue, as advised earlier, please Contact HP phone to have it repaired/replaced.
Let me know how that pans out
feel free to give me a virtual high-five by clicking the 'Thumbs Up' icon,
followed by clicking on 'Accepted as Solution' as it would help the community gain more knowledge,
And Have a great day Ahead!

Thank you for replying with this detailed response 😉
I appreciate your time and efforts,
If you are certain the issue occurred after the BIOS update,
you could attempt a bios recovery to get the older version back on your device,
Step 1: Recover the BIOS using a key press combination
Many HP notebook computers have an emergency BIOS recovery feature that allows you to recover and install the last known good version of the BIOS from the hard drive, as long as the hard drive remains functional. This emergency recovery feature is separate from the BIOS and is designed to work in the event of a catastrophic BIOS failure.
NOTE:
If you know the hard disk partition is deleted or inaccessible, skip to the next step to Download a replacement BIOS file.
CLICK HERE FOR MORE STEPS AND INSTRUCTIONS.
(By the end of this article all the issues should be resolved)
However, if the above technique doesn't work, I must recommend you Contact HP to have the device either repaired or replaced as it would confirm a hardware malfunction as informed previously.
If the information I've provided was helpful,
give us some reinforcement by clicking the solution and kudos buttons,
that'll help us and others see that we've got the answers!
Good Luck.
