HP ENVY x360 - m6-w102dx compatible stylus/pen needed

I have a HP ENVY x360 - m6-w102dx and I need a suggestion for a stylus/pen that is compatible with my device. I just recently bought a pen (not HP) that did not work. After spending sometime talking with a rep they tried to get me to buy the HP Active Stylus, and when I asked her to confirm that this would be compatible with my device, after checking she confirmed it was not.. so HP is suggesting me to buy a product that is known not to work with my device. Cool. 

Taking any and ALL suggestings, HP brand or not, for a stylus with a pen-like tip to use for hand written notes on my Envy x360 m6 convertible lap top. I don't want anything with those gelly-like ball tips. Thanks!
