As the title says the touch screen on my Elite X2 1013 G3 has stopped working very suddenly. I have followed the posted support suggestions from this post https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/ish_4305073-3491276-16 and none of it has helped. Including a windows reinstall. The only thing I have not done is the complete reset of WIndows 10 where I lose all my data.
When I say this was suddenly I mean I had just paired some bluetooth headphones to the computer and then for some reason, I can't remember, I had to restart the machine. When I did this the touchscreen no longer worked no matter what I did. For some reason I feel this is something dumb I am not aware of or have missed, like a function key that disables the touchscreen. But I cannot find reference to such a thing. Have I missed something? This actually a computer that can double as a tablet and without touchscreen input that is worthless.
Any help here would be greatly appreciated

I have the same issue, the touch suddenly stopped working after a restart, sometimes the touch worked on half of the screen but now completely dead. None of the solutions by HP support I found helped. I cant find anything about this, just people having the same issue and no solution! Its not a software issue I tried the UEFI touch test and its completely unresponsive. I tried replacing the ribbon cable and the touch board that it connects into but that didn't help either. This really sucks this wasn't cheap tablet and its only 3 years old

No, no help from HP. But you rarely get help from a company in these forums after your guarantee has run out. They no longer care. I only hoped someone who problem before would help out.
So no there has been no change in status of my laptop. Still no life in the touchscreen ever though the system fully registers that it is there and should be working. I still think there is some stupid keyboard combo that I am unaware of.
Good luck

I have a HP Elite X2 1013 G3 and the touch screen started to work intermittently a few months ago and now it does not work at all. I also tried all the steps (including confirming the windows drivers are installed, that Windows does detect that the screen is a touch device, checked everything with the HP Support Assistant tool + installed all the updates it identified, and multiple reboots). I did the UEFI test and all of those test fail so not sure of this is a BIOS or hardware issue.
I did install Windows 11 on it but since I use the touch features so infrequently, I am note sure if the complete failure of the touchscreen happened before or after that.

welcome to the club, you wont get any help from HP, and since its not widely spread device I cant find anything to help with this issue. I took a gamble and bough overpriced second hand display controller and ribbon cable. Didnt help
