HP EliteBook 840 G5
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Internal display for HP EliteBook 840 G5 flickers randomly with rainbow vertical bars; hooking it up to an external display works perfectly fine. Looks like the screen needs replacing, not sure if it is still under warranty, but last my department checked it was. The laptop booted up after some fiddling, but the internal screen issue is still present.

Could someone please get in touch with HP Support, so they can help me with this problem? I cannot get a hold of them at the moment as their online customer service is down. I can try and call them later, but my schedule is packed at the moment and I have spent enough time on with problem as it is for today.

Thanks in Advance!

@jcilley

My HP 840 G5 had flicker screen from day one, few days later, I contacted HP in my country and an engineer came to my house to replace it.

Is your machine still under warranty ?

Regards.

Was able to get in contact with someone at HP Support. Still working on the machine as we speak, she suggested getting the system BIOS, OS, and Drivers updated to the latest version. If that does not work, we will probably ship it over to HP for repairs. The system is still under warranty.
