Hi,

I have HP EliteBook 840 G8 and current can connect to 1 extended monitor using HDMI port.  I am wondering how I can connect it to the other monitor in extended mode as well.  I have tried using the USB3.0 to HDMI adapter but it does not work.   I have 2 USB A and 2 USB C ports but my understanding is that they do not support video/display.

Thank you,

The series is compatible with the following HP docks

  • Supports maximum of three independent displays when on the HP USB-C Dock G5; Max resolution = 4 K @ 30 Hz (DisplayPort 1 and DisplayPort 2)
  • Supports maximum of three independent displays when on the HP Thunderbolt™ Dock 120 W G2 (through USB-C); Max resolution = 4 K @ 30 Hz (DisplayPort 1 and DisplayPort 2)

I'm using HP USB-C Gen 5 dock right now and very happy with the outcome. My plan is to buy an HP Thunderbolt™ Dock 230W G2 one day to test my HP Omen (it is not on the list of support but I believe it should work because my Omen machine uses 200W charger).

Regards.
