Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi all,

I do have an HP Elitebook 840 G6 and I want to connect it to two displays using an Icybox DK2403-C.

I connected the Laptop to the Icybox via USB3.1 to USB-C as well as via USB-C to USB-C.

Mouse, Keyboard, Audio which is connected to the Icybox works fine.

However, displays connected to the Icybox (via HDMI and DisplayPort) do not work and are not identified by the Laptop.

Is the USB-C on the HP Elitebook not capable to transfer video signals?

Is the GPU (built in the CPU, I assume) not capable to transfer the video signal?

Am I doing something wrong?

Any help would be highly appreciated - if further information is required, let me know.

Thanks,

Ariane

@ArianeZ

The dock is a Type-C™ USB 3.0 DockingStation, its specs

              https://www.manua.ls/icy-box/ib-dk2403-c/specifications

Which is not compatible with your computer. I know 100% USB-C port on the 849 g6 machine does supports ALt mode and Power Delivery. The fact is I'm using its older sister right now with only single connection to HP USB-C G5 for all devices.

Regards.

Hi Banhien,

thanks for your reply.

That means the Laptop and the Icybox are incompatible, correct?

So it would work if I choos the HP Thunderbolt dockingstation (https://www.hp.com/de-de/shop/product.aspx?id=2UK38AA&opt=ABB&sel=ACC) and connect the laptop via USB-C to two external displays?

I want to be sure, before ordering another part which cost 250,- +.

Thanks,

Ariane
