HP Elitebook X360 1040 G9
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have multiple laptops in the field, all the same HP Elitebook x360 1040 G9

Several are using the HP 280w Thunderbolt G4 dock, some are using a Dell Thunderbolt Dock, some are using Kensington Thunderbolt docks. Most of these are using various monitors (HP/Dell) in a dual monitor setup. 1 is using a Thunderbolt to Display port cable and Multi-Stream Transport.

Some are using D-port to HDMI, most are using D-port to D-port cabling. 1 is using TB4 (USB c) to Dport.

ALL of these units are reporting the same issue... randomly throughout the day the monitors blink off, then back on.  I've heard from 2 to 10 times a day, seems to be random, I've heard the monitors are off for 3-30 seconds.
There is no "windows sound" notification of a device being disconnected, then reconnected.
I've swapped cables, tried different ports.
I've updated ALL drivers, ALL firmware I can.

I've tried different docks (same model)

I've tried increasing the dedicated video ram from 64 to 512 in Bios.

We've changed resolutions, we've changed Refresh Rates.
This doesn't happen if they have only 1 monitor. Only when we add the 2nd monitor is there an issue.

I'm idly playing with the idea of trying the "USB-C High resolution" setting in bios but I know that'll decrease performance in the other USB devices and the NIC.
Anyone else run into this and have an idea?
