Microsoft Windows 11

I purchased a work station / docking station so I can easily switch out my work laptop (also an HP) with my personal laptop HP Envy 360. I was successful at displaying 2 monitors with my work laptop.  But, I can't get the envy to detect the monitors.

Checked the monitors, both plugged in and on.

Checked drivers all up to date.

Rebooted computer, I read somewhere to do that to see if it detected after the reboot. It did not work.

The docking station / workstation is using a c-type connector.  There is absolutely no issues w/ the other HP laptop.

The envy is able to detect the keyboard and the mouse. Just not the display. What else can I do?

Your machine actually is a HP ENVY x360 - 15t-aq200 CTO machine. It should have following ports

       1 USB 3.0 (Type-C™);

       2 USB 3.0 (1 HP USB Boost);

       1 HDMI;

       1 headphone/microphone combo

Its USB-C port is hopeless which does NOT support Alt mode nor Power Delivery. You can NOT use it to

  • Charge your machine
  • Connect to an external monitor with/without hub/dock/adapter

If you wish to connect 2 external monitors, you can use

M1: HDMI direct cable

M2: Using a Displaylink Certified USB-A to HDMI adapter such as

                      https://www.amazon.com.au/CableCreation-Adapter-Windows-Compatible-2560x1440/dp/B013G4CJM8

For more connectivity, please use

What is your HP Envy 360? HP has thousands of models/products called HP Envy x360 machines. Please use System Information to find down what is its SKU. For example

Thank you so much for the response. I'll go ahead and looking into the that usb to HDMI adapter. Ultimately what I was hoping to do was use a docking station for two laptops. One is work while the other is personal. The other laptop is:

Can you recommend a docking station that would be compatible for both?

I found this on the link you provided. I think it might be compatible for both.  Can you confirm?

Thank you. I appreciate the response. The one I picked as a link had a usb connection from the docking station to the laptop. So, I thought it would be okay. 🙂 Thanks for helping me out and helping me understand.
