Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding HP Envy 360 camera not working!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Follow these steps:
Check Camera Privacy Settings
- Press Windows + I to open Settings.
- Go to Privacy & security > Camera.
- Ensure Camera access is turned ON.
- Scroll down and check that Let apps access your camera is enabled for the apps you need.
Enable Camera in Device Manager
- Right-click the Start Menu and select Device Manager.
- Expand Imaging devices or Cameras.
- If the camera is listed:
- Right-click and select Enable device (if disabled).
- If there’s a yellow warning icon, right-click and select Update driver > Search automatically for drivers.
- If the camera is not listed, go to Action > Scan for hardware changes.
Reset the Camera App
- Open Settings > Apps > Installed apps.
- Scroll down and select Camera > Advanced options > Reset.
Reinstall the Camera Driver
- Open Device Manager.
- Right-click Your Camera Device under Imaging devices/Cameras.
- Select Uninstall device > Delete driver software.
- Restart your laptop—Windows will reinstall the default camera driver.
Install HP Camera Drivers
- Go to HP Support.
- Enter your HP Envy x360 model and download the latest camera driver.
- Install the driver and restart your laptop.
Check HP Camera Kill Switch (If Available)
Some HP Envy x360 models have a physical camera kill switch (near the function keys or on the side). Ensure it’s turned on.
If the issue persists, try using an external USB camera to check if it’s a hardware issue.
