HP ENVY 17.3 inch Laptop PC 17-cr0000 IDS Base Model

My display is dim.  I have turned off power saving mode, took to the brightest setting.  Still DIM.  Please help.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to assist you.

I understand you are facing an issue with your laptop display being dim. Not to worry I will help you to resolve the issue.

I suggest you follow the below steps to confirm if the hardware is working fine.

 

Turn off the computer and wait five seconds.

Turn on the computer, and then immediately press the ESC key repeatedly until the Startup Menu opens.

Press f10 to open the BIOS Setup Utility. Now try to increase the display brightness using the brightness keys on the keyboard.
If the issue persists, then there is an issue with the display.

However, follow the steps from the video link to make sure the settings are set right on your Laptop. (Click on the Word Link to open the web page).
