Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi! So I am having a problem with my TouchPad, it had suddenly stopped working while I was using my device and now I am currently using a wireless mouse (which still works). I had looked to a forum for advice and it recommended updating the driver (which my device informed me that my driver was already fully updated) or uninstalling the driver and reinstalling. So I uninstalled the driver and reinstalled it using the drivers from the HP website, and now I am stuck because my touchpad still does not work and now I have an error icon next under device manager (it is now under hidden devices). I appreciate any help I can get, I am not very good with computers but it is essential for my schoolwork at the moment. Thanks in advance.IMG-5986.JPGIMG-5985.JPGIMG-5987.JPGIMG-5988.JPG

@Kaycie,

I reviewed your post and I understand that the touchpad on the computer is not working.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

I recommend you right-click on the Synaptics driver in device manager and click on update driver and follow the on-screen instructions and check if it helps.

If you continue facing the issue, then I recommend you perform a system restore back to the date when the touchpad was working fine.

Follow the steps in the below article to perform a system restore.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!
