You may want to take a look at this document, as it goes in depth on a similar issue explaining it: High-resolution displays reveal Windows 10 blind spot

Hi TechSurge
I went through the document, it doesn't really gives any solutions or is too complex for me to understand. The display issue however remains. Today I installed DWG True View 2016 to view my Auto CAD files and Open box is awful. I really need this to start working as expected. You can understant it is a bit frustating to see programs which worked without any issues on Windows10 on my office laptop which is an older model Pavalion and giving so much trouble on my recently purchased envy 13 laptop.
Would really appreciate if this is solved; not able to work as efficiently as I expected on buying the latest HP.

Hey @AsifLgs,
The trouble here is that it's not technically a bug or issue. It's designed that way. The problem is that the resolution 3200x1800 is extremely high for a notebook with a 13-inch screen. Have you tried to switch the resolution to 1920x1080 just to see if it makes any difference? Let me know if it makes a difference.
Please keep me posted.

Hi,
I don't understand this. Your tag says you are HP support Agent which I assume means you work for HP. How am I supposed to know the notebook I am buying is coming with a resolution which is problematic. In affect what you are saying is that HP sold me a problematic notebook.
Meanwhile I did try 1920x1080 as well. It did not solve the issue. Autodesk software's first page looks still in super small fonts. Besides, the everything else appears disproporationate. Taskbar icon do not appear as sharp as expected, mouse pointer is coming up bigger than usual. Screen shot from Autodesk startup as below:
And on changing the resolution I get a message that 3200x1800 itself is the optimal resolution. I am wondering why would HP bring such a message up if that's not meant for 13inch notebook. I really don't get it. Just hoping that this gets solved and I don't end up regretting buying a machine which otherwise comes up very good.
Any additional ideas are most welcome.

Hey @AsifLgs,
I would like to say I understand why they picked that resolution, but I'm just a technician. It is still a wonderful resolution, and looks amazing with an external monitor, I'm just unsure of why this is problematic on a 13-inch screen.
From what I'm understanding, this resolution is only natively supported on windows 10, meaning if the software you're using is having trouble with this resolution, then it hasn't yet become fully compatible with windows 10. This should hopefully be resolved with software updates.
At this time it would seem that we've gone through most of the available troubleshooting. I would suggest calling HP Support to see if they have any more solutions.

Welcome to the HP Forums 🙂
I would like to take a moment and thank you for using this forum, it is a great place to find answers.
For you to have the best experience on the HP forum, you could also visit our HP Forums Guide for First Time Here? Learn How to Post and More.
As I understand the fonts are extremely small and you are not able to read them every time a new program is turned on,
I'll be glad to help you figure this one out, however, I will need a few details to provide an accurate solution:
Which operating system do you have (windows 7, 8 or 10)?
What is the model and product number of your computer? (please do not share any person information such as serial, phone number etc..)
When was the last time it worked (date)?
Have you performed any steps on your own to fix this before posting on HP Forums?
Eager to help,
Please reply for further assistance,
I hope you have a good day ahead,
And Feel free to ask your queries as this forum has some of the best people in the world available and ready to help.

Thanks for your answer.
It's a HP envy 13 d003la with Windows 10.
I only changed the resolution of the screen and the size of the letters, but it didn't work. I have the same problem that is described here in this post.

This link and suggestion contained does not resolve this problem..... I have a major problem not been able to use any installed programs on my brand new envy 13 d004 laptop. I have tried amneding all display settings without any success. Ctrl and + only enlarges the text slighly.. from super tiny to very tiny....
this is clearly a problem that needs to be resolved affecting many users. I am about to hand back my new laptop I am so frustrated 😞
