Product: HP ENVY - 13-ad116tu

Screen was randomly on/off (no predictable pattern) for couple of days thereafter whole laptop went dead. I realized that battery was swollen hence purchased a new battery. System is backup but screen not working. 

- Able to use laptop with external monito connected via UCB-C port 

- Laptop screen not working (black screen, not even feeling heat). Diagnostic S/W only recognizes the external monitor and pass the display diagnostic test.

- In system setting (display settings) only external Monitor recognized. 

- all other laptop features working, I am creating this case using same laptop (with external monitor) 

- When I type the keyboard backlight turns off/on when type using the central keys (like g,h,t,y,j,r). My laptop keyboard keys are bit soft/loose hence not sure are these related issues.  but keyboard backlight is less of my concern. 

 

Any idea what might be wrong?
