Troubleshooting black screen issues on HP Notebooks: Click here to view the instructions!
HP Recommended

I had purchased the HP Envy x360 laptop for my Hotel Use and Personal use sometime in March, 2022, from an recognized HP dealer. I intended to use the laptop for my business and personal computing needs. At the time of purchase, the device was covered by the limited warranty for a period of 1 year. Within approximately 1 year after the said warranty got expired, and upon opening the laptop I heard a crunching sound and experienced that the display hinge break off from the poorly secured mounting points at the bottom of the display screen resulting in further damage to the touchscreen panel to break and few cracks were visible from the bottom of the left hinge on the screen.  Since, multiple complaints pertaining to the defective hinge have already been lodged by various users of HP which dates back to the year 2014, it appears that HP has failed to look into the serious issues and failed to resolve the design structures of hinges. Even after being in complete knowledge about the issues, HP has falsely marketed its Envy Laptops as "Reliable" and "Designed for long-lasting performance", with "compact, portable design". HP even provided false assurances to the customers as to the HP laptops durability and HP's pre-sale diligence by stating that "extensive quality testing ensures that you can keep going..... and going". Indeed, the HP also claims that each model has been subject to 115,000 hours of testing which included opening and closing the laptops tens of thousands of times. As a consequence of HP's false and misleading statements, its active concealment of the Defect, and its failure to repair or otherwise address the defect, I have suffered injury in fact and actual damages in that the laptop purchased is unreliable and/or unusable for the intended purposes. As a direct and proximate result of the Defect, I have also suffered or will suffer damages in the form of out-of-pocket expenditures for the replacement and attempted repairs of the Laptop; diminished value of the laptop; time wasted attempting to repair the Defect and the failure to receive the benefit of the bargain in the purchase of the laptop. I hereby, by way of this complaint, seeks an appropriate resolution from the support team of HP.
