Product: HP ENVY x360 15.6 inch 2-in-1 Laptop PC 15-ey0000 (54J84AV)
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11
I just bought my Envy and, like this thread, could not wake it up when it was in tablet mode. I spoke with a tenacious HP support rep who solved the problem, contrary to what this tread seemed possible. It can be woken up by tapping the screen with the proper configuration. Do the following:
Go to device manager > human interface devices > HID-compliant touch screen > Properties and click the box "allow this device to wake the computer".
I hope this works for you too.
