HP USB-C G5 Essential Dock

Hello!

I recently purchased the HP USB-C G5 essential dock to connect my HP V24v G5 FHD Monitor to my HP 17.3 inch Laptop PC-c3000 (767L6AV). With the laptop connected via the USB-C cable to the docking station (and closed), I am able to use all of my other connections to the docking station (sounds, keyboard etc) fine. The docking  station does recognize the HDMI cable from the monitor according to the  HP Docks and Displays Diagnostics Windows tool, (it shows up as one of the monitors but does not show it connected in the HDMI slot in the overview slide). I've tried to use DisplayPort adaptor, but that also does not work, so I have to connect the HDMI cable directly to my laptop and currently I am limited to mirror display only (Display setting also does not detect the monitor in the "detect other displays" options. Is there something else I can do in order for my laptop and docking station to recognize my monitor so that I can plug it into the docking station and use my laptop as an additional display as necessary? (and so I dont have to plug my HDMI cable directly into my laptop)

Thank you for the time!

It specs is on the following list

              https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/ish_7737425-7737469-16

which shows it has (1) USB 3.2 Gen 1.0 Type-C port; SuperSpeed 5 Gbps signaling rate (data transfer only; charging or external monitors not supported) port therefore its USB-C port is NOT compatible with the dock. If you wish to connect to another external monitor, you can use

  • Monitor 1: HDMI direct cable to notebook,
  • Monitor 2: Using a Displaylink Certified USB-A to HDMI adapter such as

                                     USB to HDMI Adapter

Regards.
