G42
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My Laptop has a typical problem. Right side of the screen has a black stripe. Size gets reduced. Resolution is set to the recommended value. I have tried all troubleshooting but nothing works. Kindly help.

@Mahesh220,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

I reviewed your post and I understand that you are facing issues with the display on your computer.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

I recommend you boot to the BIOS by tapping the F10 on startup and check whether you are able to duplicate the issue in BIOS.

Also, try connecting an external monitor to the computer (if available) and check whether the display is working fine on the external monitor.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!

If you wish to show appreciation for my efforts, mark my post as Accept as Solution. Your feedback counts!

Cheers!
