HP G62 Notebook PC WV686AV
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Upgraded from Win 7 to 10 last year OK.

After recent win 10 update laptop screen is black. External monitor via HDMI works OK. I think it is the video driver (AMD Mobility Radeon HD 5000 Series) but can't find a Win 10 driver for this PC. Don't know specific Radeon model. Have updated video driver using HP Support Assistant but no better. Anyone know which video driver I need and where I can get it? Thanks

@NITEC
Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

I have a few troubleshooting steps we could try to fix the issue:

BIOS Update: Follow steps from the link: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c00042629

Also, try the display driver rollback method:

  • Open Start.
  • Search for Device Manager.
  • In Device Manager. search for the Display Adapter right-click and select the Properties option.
  • Click the Driver tab. rollback.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
