Hello. I have an HP Laptop 17-cn0xxx with the following
Processor 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-1125G4 @ 2.00GHz 2.00 GHz
Installed RAM 32.0 GB (31.7 GB usable)
Product ID 00356-07329-63188-AAOEM
System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
I am trying to use multiple monitors and can't seem to get them to work. I have had this ability in the past, but not sure what the difference is with this new laptop, except it was a Dell laptop instead of an HP.
I do have two different name brand monitors that I'm using: The main screen I'm using that's attached to directly to the computer, is an LG HDR WQHD with the following:
The other two monitors that I'm using are Dell monitors and since I can't seem to connect them to the computer, I don't know their specifics. However, I've never had an issue before.
I purchased a Selore & Global docking station but I can't seem to make it work. When I hook the other monitor into the docking station, the monitor always says that no HDMI or no DP connection is found...it doesn't matter which cable I use, because I've tried both. Here's the specifics on it and the link to the amazon add.
USB C Docking Station Dual HDMI Monitor Adapter, USB C Hub 3 Monitors Adapter with Dual HDMI, Displayport, VGA, 100W PD Charging, 2USB A 2.0, USB C 2.0 Ports Adapter for Dell XPS, HP, Lenovo, etc

I have the main screen (LG) connected straight to the laptop with a DP Cable. Should I be using different cables for the monitors? Is this the wrong docking station to be using? I have and want to be able to use all three of my external screens and this docking station advertised that I could connect three different screens. Again, I've tried connecting the Dell screens with both a DP and an HDMI and neither have worked.
Thanks in advance for your help. I'm sure it's obvious that I'm not a computer guru and am in need of a lot of help. 🙂
Sincerely,
MortgageGirl

What is your HP Laptop 17-cn0xxx machine ? I should have same ports as the following machine
HP Laptop 17-cn0102na
It ONLY has 1 USB Type-C® 5Gbps signaling rate (supports data transfer only and does not support charging or external monitors) port which does NOT support Alt mode nor Power Delivery. You can NOT use it to
- Charge your machine,
- Connect to an external monitor with/without hub/dock/adapter (some hubs may have builtin chip to support this)
If you wish to connect 2 external monitors (only), you can use
- Monitor 1: HDMI direct cable,
- Monitor 2: Using a Displaylink Certified USB-A to HDMI adapter such as
For more connectivity, please use
True Universal Docking Stations
Your Selore & Global docking station is not suitable for your machine.
Regards.

I also went back and looked at the add when I purchased the laptop, and it shows that it's a
HP 17.3" Flagship HD+ Business Laptop, 32GB DDR4 RAM, 1TB PCIe SSD, Intel Quad Core i3-1125G4(Beat i5-1035G4), Bluetooth, HDMI, Webcam, Windows 11, Silver, w/GM Accessories
does this help with knowing what will work with it?
