HP Laptop 15-dy1xxx Screen flickering only on internal monitor

My HP Laptop 15-dy1xxx Internal monitor starts flickering after left on standby for a time. This only happens to the internal monitor, when I connect to an external the picture quality is sharp and without issues.

When I noticed this issues initially I changed the refresh rate from 60hz to 40hz then it stopped, Now even at 40hz it keeps on flickering.

Please boot the Notebook to BIOS and keep it under observation and let me know if it flickers in BIOS

If the screen flickers in BIOS, then it's a Hardware issue and you can contact HP Support in your region for service options

1) Click on this link - www.hp.com/contacthp/ 
2) Select your product type below.
3) Enter the serial of your device. 
4) Select the country from the drop-down. 
5) Select the chat or get phone number options based on your preferences. 
6) Fill the web-form and proceed further.
