HP 15.6 inch Laptop PC 15-fc0000 (733M5AV)

I'm a bit confused and irritated. I helped a friend buy this laptop, the description said SVA-display.

I have since found out that SVA means "standard viewing angle" and I found several people saying that SVA from HP is TN and has nothing to do with real VA-displays. It's impossible to find any definitive information from official HP sources, it's quite frustrating. I can't even find the NTSC %. I even talked with some support guy in India I believe and he was of no help.

HPs official specifications lists "39,6 cm (15,6") diagonalt, HD (1366 x 768), mikrokant, antirefleks, 250 nits, 45 % NTSC" as the display. This is incorrect, the resolution is 1920 x 1080.

The service manual for HP 15-fc0xxx lists several displays, I believe this is the one that's in the laptop we bought:

FHD, antiglare, eDP 1.2 without PSR, antiglare, standard viewing angle (SVA), 250 nits.

The model number for the display I found with HWiNFO is AUO499F, this is listed as a TN-panel on a few sites. But is that correct?

From the information you posted the parts list and google, this is the information I could find:

Parts list...shows two display part numbers and you have already indicated the display is 1920 x 1080 which is the FHD display.

HP PartSurfer

Googling the part number for the display, I found this link which indicates the display is 60 Hz, IPS, non-touch.

Display HP PC 15-fc0013 15-fc0013od LCD LED 15.6" FHD Screen N41934-001

But now that you have the correct part number, you can continue searching further if you wish.

Thank you for this, it brings more light to the case.

I found this post:

It's the same product family, HP 15.6 inch Laptop PC 15-fc0000 (733M5AV).
