HP Laptop PC 15s-fq2000 (2D120AV)

I bought this laptop 3 years ago. 

After only 20 months of use : the laptop starts but the screen remains dark, I could barely see the HP logo. I sent it for repair, they returned the laptop without saying what had been fixed. And now, after only a few months I'm facing the same issue. 

I'd be glad if anyone could help as the laptop is quite expensive and the only answer I got from WhatsApp customer service is that they couldn't tell me what had been fixed previously and that the laptop could be fixed again for 480 euro.

From your description, we can try to isolate the possible problem.

If you add an external monitor, does the image go up normally to it?

Have you added any additional hardware?

Thank you for your feedback. I haven't added any hardware and image is normal when connected to an external monitor. Exactly the same as last year when I first had the problem.

Thanks for the screen tests.

In this case, the fault is with the screen itself (or it could be the flat).

See if a technical assistant can evaluate it for you.

The thing is this problem should have been fixed when I first had the issue last year, I sent the laptop for repair and it worked fine, but for barely a year. And no one is able to confirm what has been fixed last year. The technical assistance tells me the cost would be 480 € (laptop value being around the same now i guess)

Is this a frequent problem?

Has anyone else had the same problem? Is it kind of a manufacturing default maybe?
